BioCharacter: Shania
Fandom: Shadow Hearts: From The New World
Background: Shania is a Native American woman, and the daughter of the chief in her village, making her the princess of the Garvoy tribe. She has the power of Fusion, which allows her to turn into other forms by making contracts with spirits in order to use their powers. Along with her bodyguard, Natan, the two were hunting the mysterious villain of Malice, Lady, in order to avenge their tribe, which Lady murdered three years prior to the game's timeline. Shania's innate element is darkness, and she normally uses twin tomahawks to fight.
Personality: Shania is very, very stubborn, as can be evidenced by how avidly she stuck to her plan of tracking down Lady to kill her. When she is consumed by a strong desire to accomplish something, she has a one-track mind and will not rest until the deed is done. Despite this hard side of Shania, she can be surprisingly teasing at times, which she only shows around and directs toward Johnny. After killing Lady, Shania showed great remorse for the things she had done to get to that point, and she had wanted to stay behind in the Gate while it crumbled to nothingness, proving her sense of responsibility and desire of retribution for the questionable acts she might have committed during the quest. Shania is very independent, sometimes even to the point of refusing help when she really needs it, but being around Johnny has considerably softened her usually-brash and sharp personality. She seems to harbor a certain amount of fondness for Johnny, but whether or not she returns his romantic affections are still yet to be realized.
